Parquet sealants

— parquet can be both adhesives and sealants (see "Type"); the former are used to fix the boards on the floor, the latter to fill the gaps between the individual boards so that moisture and dirt do not get between them.

Different brands of parquet adhesives differ mainly in general quality and price range, so in this case it is worth touching mainly on sealants. Note that not only specialized compounds can be used for parquet, but also general-purpose sealants — acrylic, silicone, polyurethane (see the relevant paragraphs). Specialized grouts can also belong to one of these types, and the differences can be in two points. Firstly, a lot of coloured parquet sealants are produced, which allows you to choose the composition of the colour for the specific type of wood used for parquet. Secondly, such compositions may have additional antibacterial ingredients that prevent the formation of mold and bacterial plaque.
