This uviolet glass selectively transmits UV rays, retaining hard ultraviolet, resulting in minimal ozone production. Consequently, there's no need for ventilation after use, and accidental exposure to the skin or eyes is less hazardous compared to quartz lamps. However, germicidal lamps require more time for room treatment due to their lower radiation intensity.
