The clear need for such systems arises mainly in specific situations — for example when it comes to hot process fluids with a boiling point above 100 °C. However, high-temperature resistance can come in handy in everyday situations. For example, if the temperature of the coolant in an autonomous heating system can reach 90 °C it is best to choose a protective system with an allowable temperature of at least 100 °C: a “degree margin” will not be superfluous, at least from the point of view of reliability.
