High torque

— systems in which ball valve motors provide high torque — at least 30 Nm.

Torque is, roughly speaking, the force with which the motor turns the valve. A large force gives an additional guarantee that the valve will close even in an unfavourable situation (such as jamming or serious contamination of the mechanism). On the other hand, this feature inevitably affects the cost. Thus, it makes sense to select valves with a torque of more than 30 Nm, first of all, if the probability of the situations described is sufficiently high. Although, of course, technically nothing prevents the installation of such a mechanism in normal domestic conditions.
