Airbag

— protective motorcycle gear with a built-in airbag — vests, jackets and other similar equipment. In the event of a collision or fall of the rider, the airbag is automatically triggered and inflates in a matter of seconds, thereby significantly reducing the risk of injury to vulnerable parts of the torso. There are two common types of Airbag vests according to the activation method: some are equipped with built-in sensors and accelerometers that activate the airbag when abnormal acceleration or sudden deceleration is detected, while others use mechanical activation — the airbag is connected to the motorcycle with a special cord and instantly activates when the cable is disconnected.
