Two-component handle

— chisels in which two materials are used for the handle — a base made of special plastic and an outer coating of rubber. Thanks to this, the handle is, on the one hand, strong and reliable, on the other hand, comfortable to hold. So, plastic is better able to withstand shock, high humidity and temperature changes than the more traditional material — wood; and rubber pads provide a secure hold, even in sweaty palms, they practically do not slip. Chisels with two-component handles are often made percussive (see the relevant paragraph), although this feature needs to be specified separately.
