This Verdun single bit is made of high-quality stainless steel combined with flexible plastic. The bits are thus stable, yet particularly gentle and horse-friendly. The plastic has a hardness of 90A and is FDA-approved. This means that the material is solvent-free, contains no plasticizers and is non-toxic. Bits can be used for all horses and are particularly suitable for young horses, horses with sensitive mouths and horses that have difficulty acceptingautres materials. The bit has a gentle action in the mouth. The thickness of the canon is 18 mm and the diameter of the bit washers is 70 mm. A Verdun bit has D-shaped rings that cannot rotate freely, so the aids have a more direct action. This type of bit is generally well accepted, as the canon is relatively fixed in the mouth. Thanks to the D-shape, the rider cannot pull the bit out of the mouth and the horse can be well guided; the bit is therefore also suitable for young horses.
