This non-slip gel therapy pad is thicker than the lightweight pad, which gives it a dual function: non-slip and shock absorbing. It can be used directly on the skin or between the saddle and a numnah. This special gel is non-toxic, hypoallergenic and does not react negatively on the skin. It will stop any unwanted movement of the saddle, from front to back and from side to side. A real asset if the saddles turn on "round" horses and ponies! These pads are shaped and molded to the saddle with a slightly thinner gel thickness in the center of the pad, allowing the gel to sit in the gullet rather than pressing on the withers and spine. This gel can also be cut to fit the saddle if necessary. Show cavaliers often cut it half an inch inside the saddle profile to make it look like there is nothing under the saddle - when in fact there is a very nice, non-slip, shock absorbing layer!
