“Bal d’Afrique is one of my first perfumes. When I was formulating it, I was obsessed with the idea of transposing memories into a perfume and, at the same time, including an imaginary component. My father lived and traveled in Africa for about 10-15 years. I had read his diaries, discovering how he traveled on merchant ships, meeting all kinds of people… So, I imagined arriving in Africa through someone else’s words.
