Arctic Ice Boots are flexible, generously sized ice boots designed to provide good coverage over the intended area. Four elastic straps allow for a flexible fit, which means they can be used anywhere on the horse's limb. The unique Hypo-Freeze gel is formed into 24 separate pockets and contours around the limb ensuring maximum surface contact with tendons and joints. This gel is able to maintain an intense "arctic" freezing effect for the optimal amount of time needed for the cooling effect to have an impact. Regular use of Arctic Ice Boots for short periods (20-30 minutes) after intense exercise for preventative purposes to ensure that ligaments, tendons and joints remain tight. The sooner tendon temperatures can be reduced after work, the better. This can be applied to high intensity dressage as well as galloping, show jumping and cross country.
