THE CREATION In 2006, Jean-Claude Ellena created Terre d'Hermès, an Eau that brings man back to his origins, to the source of his creative power. Terre d'Hermès tells the story of man's relationship with terra, his respectful and harmonious dialogue with nature and the elements. Since 2016, Christine Nagel, master perfumer of Hermès, has focused on Terre, exploring its new potentials. THE OLFACTORY NOTES Mineral and woody fragrance, Terre d'Hermès combines the power of cedar and the brilliance of grapefruit with the vibrant note of una silica. THE OBJECT From una side, the terra: the bottle rests on an orange una H, which leaves a mark on the ground. On the other side, the sky: light reflects on the metallic shoulders. Between the two, the transparency of water. THE DETAIL HERMÈS Una turned in hand, the Terre d'Hermès bottle reveals numerous details: the emblematic “clou de selle” of the house and the sliding cap that hides the spray. Created by designer Philippe Mouquet, it is inspired by a travel bottle kept at the Emile Hermès museum.
