Everyone faces some really tough times in their lives and may need to just break things up with something new. Something to get their mind off the troubles that they’re dealing with in order to find some peace and, eventually, face those troubles head on and find their way to a bit of bliss again. Now, we all deal with this in different ways. Some of us need to dive head first into an endless vat of ice cream. (That is our personal favorite, even for when we’re having perfectly normal days, actually.) Others may need to distract themselves with some good old fashioned physical activity. Get those limbs moving, the heart ticking, and press that solid reset button in the brain.

We’re not quite sure how many times good old Gump ran across the country, but it was long enough to earn himself one heck of a lustrous beard… and a cultish following of a few dozen street runners.
We don’t precisely recommend that exact tactic. While it did seem to do Forrest some good, that is a major time commitment. We, however, have a short cut in mind for those of you who’d like to jog in his shoes for at least a few blocks. You can do exactly that with this Running Forrest Gump costume.
