Dia de Muertos
In Mexcio, they don't celebrate Halloween. Instead, they celebrate Dia de Muertos: the Day of the Dead.
How fabulous is that?! Look, we weren't going to bring it up before, but some of the same old, same old Halloween stuff is getting, well, a little old. Which is why we're super excited to look into and learn about other eerie holidays around the world. First stop? Day of the Dead, of course. This is a nationally celebrated holiday where friends and family come together to remember those that have passed on. Family members visit grave sites and bring gifts. They create altars to remember those lost. They hold parades and festivals. They have a lot of skulls (calaveras) and skeletons to decorate and symbolize the day. In some places? They even dress up like the dead to celebrate.

Here at FUN.com, we're pretty big about dressing up. We love it. You name it, and we want to do it. Dressing up in an outfit inspired by Dia de Muertos is no exception! Which is exactly why we have our Boy's Day of the Dead Costume. This outfit comes with a faux red suede jacket, complete with black satin lapels and red cloth roses. There are decorative buttons at the waist and on the sleeves, and decorative spider web patterns as well. The faux red suede pants have a black satin strip up the side, and the waistband is elastic. It comes with a red cummerbund with black lace overlay, and a formed felt hat with black band and cloth roses.
Skulls for the Win!
We're pretty sure Dia de Muertos outfits are probably the coolest holiday outfits we've seen in a long time. So classy. So macabre. So many skulls. We absolutely adore it and hope you do too.
