FUN Costumes Boy's Day of the Dead Costume Black/Red

Ever considered that your son might be the life of the party? Maybe he's so great at having fun and dancing that he's transcended this world and has become the afterlife of the party. Believe us, the dead can really raise some heck when they're out on the town. Mexico even has it's own holiday designed all around it! The dress up in their finest... moretraditional clothing, paint skulls and marigolds on their faces, and dance the night away to honor their ancestors who have passed on to the next world. We especially love it because of all the sugar skulls we get to decorate. They're kind of like Easter eggs except these little guys are much sweeter. They're called sugar skulls after all! It's also one of if not the only holidays in the entire world where we can hang out with skeletons, and not be absolutely scared out of our sombreros. The dead aren't here to take our souls or drag us down into the crypts with them this time around. They just want to have fun at the party we threw to celebrate in their honor. That doesn't seem so bad at all now, does it? We think it sounds amazing! If you're going to have a fantastic Day of the Dead celebration though, you have to go all out! Get your boy this fantastic costume and he'll be ready to raise the dead! Don't forget to check out all the other exclusive costumes we made ourselves for this theme.

FUN Costumes Day of the Dead Boy's Costume Black/Red FUN1176CH

Dia de Muertos In Mexcio, they don't celebrate Halloween. Instead, they celebrate Dia de Muertos: the Day of the Dead.  How fabulous is that?! Look, we weren't going to bring it up before, but some of the same old, same old Halloween stuff is getting, well, a little old. Which is why we're super excited to look into and learn about other eerie holi... moredays around the world. First stop? Day of the Dead, of course. This is a nationally celebrated holiday where friends and family come together to remember those that have passed on. Family members visit grave sites and bring gifts. They create altars to remember those lost. They hold parades and festivals. They have a lot of skulls (calaveras) and skeletons to decorate and symbolize the day. In some places? They even dress up like the dead to celebrate.  Fun Details Here at FUN.com, we're pretty big about dressing up. We love it. You name it, and we want to do it. Dressing up in an outfit inspired by Dia de Muertos is no exception! Which is exactly why we have our Boy's Day of the Dead Costume. This outfit comes with a faux red suede jacket, complete with black satin lapels and red cloth roses. There are decorative buttons at the waist and on the sleeves, and decorative spider web patterns as well. The faux red suede pants have a black satin strip up the side, and the waistband is elastic. It comes with a red cummerbund with black lace overlay, and a formed felt hat with black band and cloth roses.  Skulls for the Win! We're pretty sure Dia de Muertos outfits are probably the coolest holiday outfits we've seen in a long time. So classy. So macabre. So many skulls. We absolutely adore it and hope you do too.
