You know what we think is bogus? The hype about Willy Wonka! Not the movie, gosh no, that's a classic! But really, Willy didn't make the candy, the Oompa Loompas did! They are the secret behind the factory's success. And what do they get for it? Not much! A few songs and an iconic look. Big Wonka wants you to forget that one man cannot possibly make all of the best candy in England; it takes a team, and we're definitely on Team Loompa!
Of course, "Loompa Bar" or "Loompavision" aren't quite as marketable when it comes to names, and I'm sure the producers considered that. But we feel that it's time these magic makers got credit for all their hard work. Dress your kid in this Child Oompa Loompa Costume and prepare to speak up to other parents on behalf of oompa loompas everywhere. Your family may even get rewarded with a lifetime supply of Loompa Bars (we're going with it)!
Fun Details
To become a member of the most elite candy team in the world, your kiddo will need the uniform. This jumpsuit is styled to look like a layered costume, but is way easier to get on! It has attached suspenders and buttons sewn onto the white "capris" in front, and the matching striped legwarmers complete the look. However, you're definitely going to need to pick up a wig. And not just any wig, a deep green one. You know as well as I do that a loompa is only as authentic as the hair on their head!

So while we can admit that Wonka's got some great ideas, the Oompa Loompas are the real heroes in our book. We're guessing your child feels the same way. It's a tough job to roll a giant blueberry-girl down the hall for juicing, or to fish other kids (constantly) out of the chocolate river, but someone's gotta do it! And now, that someone can be your little one—but we're going to work on getting them better recognition for a job well done!
