Microsoft Truck Driver: The Dutch Connection - Xbox Series X

After quitting school to chase his lifelong passion, Lucas sets out to prove himself behind the wheel. Together they will start a new endeavor, one that will have them in charge of their own destiny. In Truck Driver: The Dutch Connection, every delivery comes with a story. Every adventure will have Lucas and Felix learn that it's not the destination that matters, it's the people you meet along the way. Play modes In Truck Driver: The Dutch Connection, players choose between two main game modes at the start: Story Mode and Freedom to Roam Mode. These modes are distinct options, selected from the game's main menu, and do not mix during gameplay. Story Mode: - Narrative-Driven Progression: Players complete structured story missions for specific companies and characters, primarily focusing on character development for Lucas and Felix. - Mission Flow: Deliveries advance the story, unlocking new missions, truck parts, and rewards such as money, experience, and skills. - Truck Management: Earnings are spent on upgrading the trucks to tackle increasingly challenging assignments. - Linear Progression: The story unfolds gradually, with the player always working under one company at a time, determined by the current stage of the story. Freedom To Roam: - Open-Ended Exploration: Players are free to explore the game world and accept huge number of delivery missions at their own pace. Players can replay all available missions on their own pace. - Mission Variety: Short, medium, long-haul, double delivery/ return delivery and time-based jobs are available, but these do not influence story progression. There will be implemented oversize jobs in the near future as a part of a DLC. - Progression Through Experience: Completing jobs in this mode grants experience, money, and access to new trucks, but does not unlock story content or new regions related to the main narrative. - No Story Constraints: There are no required narrative-driven objectives-players create their own pace and goals. Both modes feature the core loop of accepting jobs, driving cargo, managing your truck, and earning rewards—but only Story Mode develops the main storyline and character arcs.
