These three modes include a point-to-point, point-to-many & many-to-many configuration. Using the point-to-point mode, an HDMI signal can be extended up to 120m (394ft) over a single Cat5E/6 cable. With a Bi-Directional RS-232 passthrough, users can control RS-232 enabled devices, such as rotatable cameras, from a PC connected to their Transmitter. This extender encodes and decodes HDMI signals using H.264 compression, which significantly reduces the bandwidth usage while maintaining high video quality. These H.264 extenders can be used on your home network as long as your network router supports IGMP functionality.
