There are a lot of factors to weigh and consider when costume shopping, especially for a kid who needs it to be perfect. Good thing we're around: we've got what they need! On the one hand, they want to be a mighty hero with bulging pectorals and traps. Who doesn't? On the other hand, they would also like to dress like a sleek robot with a great sense of justice and compassion for mankind -- good qualities in a robot, to be sure. Oh, and a knack for making things go boom would also be nice. Not many costumes can combine both requirements, but then again, not every costume is a sentient, modular robot-alien!
Design & Details
All sentient beings have a right to look cool, to paraphrase our favorite Prime! Your child will have a blast – figuratively and maybe literally – in this officially licensed Kids’ Transformers Muscle Optimus Prime. The 100-percent polyester jumpsuit is stuffed with fiberfill padding in the chest and shoulders because this robot is ripped from fighting the Decepticons! The matching molded plastic helmet is held in place by an elastic band that wraps around the back of the head. The mesh-covered eye openings provide just enough vision to return enemy fire and identify human allies.
Transformation: Initiated
This costume will tick all your kid's boxes! Watch out, though – Primes have a tendency to blow things up, so you might want to move Grandma’s heirlooms and little sister’s doll collection out of the blast radius.
