The Canon XA70 Professional UHD 4K Camcorder is a compact, lightweight camcorder designed for ENG style documentary and journalism production, featuring UHD 4K capture, a 1 inch CMOS sensor, dual XLR audio inputs, and a mini HDMI output. Updated from the XA55, it adds a larger 3.5 inch LCD capacitive touchscreen, a higher resolution tilting 0.36 inch OLED electronic viewfinder, on screen display metadata recording, and a fast USB C video only output with UVC support for streaming directly to a computer. The integrated lens provides a 15x HD optical zoom, a nine bladed circular iris for smoother highlight rendering, and Wide DR gamma support to help in low light. Pro features include Dual Pixel and contrast autofocus, fast and slow motion recording, full manual controls, optical and electronic image stabilization, user assignable buttons, infrared mode, and a DIGIC DV 6 processor for high sensitivity and low noise.
