Joy is the kind of friend you always want by your side. She's happy to be there to cheer you on as you run your first 5K or give you a high five when you finally get a B in that class you struggled with all semester. She's vibrant and quirky and a whole lot of fun. She's almost perfect it's just too bad that she lives in your head.  
Speaking of your head, there sure are a lot of emotions in there. Sure, people might find it a little off-putting if Joy was the only one who expressed herself but why do those other emotions have to be so vocal. Like last month, when you were watching that in-flight movie on the way back from vacation. Then again, altitude does strange things to people and at that same moment, the businessman seemed to be wiping suspiciously at something in his eye. Hey, just goes to show, whatever it is we're feeling we're not alone! 
Well, all of those emotions will have their moment in due time.
