Max. load
The maximum load for which the product is designed, in other words, the maximum weight that it can be guaranteed to withstand without breaking. It is impossible to exceed this indicator: even if the structure does not break immediately, it can happen at any time.
The maximum load is selected taking into account the number of people for which the product is designed. At the same time, in multi-seat models, the weight of each individual person is taken with a significant margin — for example, a three-seat swing can have a limit
of more than 300 kg, which allows even people of massive build to use furniture safely. However, anyway, compliance with the load will not hurt to clarify separately, and with a large user weight, this is especially true.
Back height
The height of the back provided in the design of the product. Usually, it is measured from the seat to the top edge of the backrest.
It makes sense to specifically look for high (80 cm or more) backs if you want to get furniture with support under the back of your head.
Mosquito net
The presence in the design or delivery of the product of
a mesh to protect against insects.
Such a grid has the form of a canopy, which can cover the seat from all sides. Such a canopy allows light and air to pass through, but retains mosquitoes, midges and other annoying "living creatures". Usually, the mosquito net is made removable.
Decorative pillows
The presence of
decorative pillows in the product package.
Decorative pillows are small and generally not designed to be used while sleeping. However, despite the name, they can also perform a very practical function: for example, such a pillow can be placed under the back, providing additional support.
Profile thickness
The thickness of the profile used in the frame of the product, in other words, is the thickness of the main parts from which the frame is made.
Ceteris paribus, a
thicker profile is more durable, reliable and massive (and therefore stable), but also more expensive and inconvenient to transport.
Profile wall thickness
The wall thickness of the profile used in the frame of the product.
The metal profile, from which most modern garden swings are made, is made hollow. Therefore, in addition to the thickness of the profile itself, the characteristics often also indicate the thickness of its walls. With the same overall thickness of the profile, thicker walls, on the one hand, make it more durable, massive (and therefore stable) and reliable, on the other hand, they significantly affect the cost and ease of transportation. Thus, manufacturers select this parameter in such a way as to provide the necessary strength and at the same time not to make the structure heavier or more expensive; and when choosing, paying attention to the thickness of the profile makes sense only if light weight or high strength is fundamentally important to you.
