The presence
of a captain's chair in the design of the device. This function is found mainly in parallel bars or combined models (see “Product type”). In such cases, the captain's chair consists of two elements: paired vertical handles on the parallel bars and a soft pad under the back. When performing abdominal exercises, the athlete hangs on the parallel bars, holding on to the vertical handles and resting his elbows and forearms on the bars themselves, and his back on the soft pad; the exercise itself consists of raising and/or holding your legs.
In addition, the captain's chair can also be found in the form of a footrest at the bottom of the structure. It is usually a device designed to perform abdominal exercises on the floor.
