Write speed
The maximum speed of writing data to the drive. The
higher the write speed, the less time it takes to transfer information from a computer to a USB flash drive, which is especially critical for large amounts of data. Just like the read speed, in fact the write speed is determined by a number of factors, in particular, the connection interface (see Connection interface), the design features of the drive, system load, etc.
Non-removable cap
A protective cap for the USB plug attached directly to the drive case. Compared to traditional removable caps, the risk of losing such a cap is several times lower — in fact, it can only be lost along with the flash drive itself.
Lanyard hole
A hole in the body of the flash drive that allows you to securely fasten the drive to the strap and wear it as a key fob. As a rule, the
eyelet for the strap is located on one of the ends of the flash drive body (on the side or in the center).
Waterproof
The presence
of water protection flash drive. Also in this paragraph, the specific level of such protection according to the IP standard can be specified, where the first digit is responsible for dust protection, and the second for water protection. The higher the number, the better the level of protection. So, the water protection indicator of 7 already allows us to talk about the short-term water resistance of the model. However, in most cases, manufacturers do not conduct global tests and do not mark their devices with an IP level, only assuring about some kind of protection. What it really is remains a mystery.
