One of its main drawbacks is a somewhat increased propensity to absorb contaminants and odors, which puts appropriate requirements for cleaning. At the same time, some manufacturers use special coatings that eliminate this moment. The service life of a faience product is up to 40 years.

Sanitary porcelain. «Sanitary porcelain» is considered more advanced than Sanitary faience. It has no noticeable advantages in strength or aesthetics, but not so absorbs dirt and odors, which facilitates cleaning and positively affects the service life - it can reach 60 years. The main drawback of this material is quite high cost.
— Ceramics. Any type of ceramics that are either not related to the above-mentioned Sanitary faience or Sanitary faience, or are specific varieties of these materials. The specific features of the bidet of ceramics should be specified separately; however, most of it is quite advanced and quality products.
Dimensions of the bidet bowl - without taking into account the lid, tap and other equipment. Width and depth affect primarily the amount of space needed to install the product, while height also determines usability. Note that for the floor models (see «Mount») the height indicated in the dimensions actually corresponds to the working height, while for the suspended ones we are talking only about the size from the bottom to the top edge, and the actual working height can be different - because the bowl can be fixed at different levels.
