Mount

The standard installation method provided in the product design.

Floor. Installation directly on the floor. It is found exclusively in the cabinets (cf. «Type»); in this case, the design can be placed both on special legs (cf. «Complete»), and directly on its own base. In any case, the key advantage of this method of installation is simplicity - in the presence of a flat floor area do not need any preparatory work, it is enough to simply move a pedestal there. On the other hand, this method is suitable only for relatively spacious premises, where you do not need to save as much space on the floor. And legless models are also demanding on the quality of this floor: on uneven surface they will stand unstable and unreliable, and it is sometimes not so easy to fix.

Wall. Installation by hanging the structure to the wall. It is a regular option for consoles (see. «Type»), but is often used in the tables. Compared to the floor, such installation is somewhat more difficult (in particular, have to drill the walls). At the same time, the hanging item does not take up space on the floor, and under it there is quite a considerable free space, which is important in tight conditions. In addition, the risk of accidentally moving the pedestal (for example, hitting) is minimal.

Floor/wall. Combined models combining the...above installation methods. It is worth noting that this combination can be different. Thus, it is usually the case that the product is supported at the front by two legs, and at the back should be attached to the wall; this installation is somewhat easier to fully suspended and at the same time provides more secure attachment than the floor. In addition, the same model of cabinets can be produced in different versions - floor and suspended; such products are also included in this category, and what is the option in question - it is necessary to specify directly when buying.

Washbasin shape

This point refers to the external shape of the washbasin. First of all, the choice for this parameter depends on aesthetic preferences and design requirements. In practice, the differences between the different forms are essentially only that the presence of corners makes cleaning the washbasin somewhat more difficult - but not so much that this can be called a key point.

Traditional varieties of shapes are round, semicircular, oval, rectangular. In the latter case, there are variations on the theme of a rectangular shape with an arc(in general, the body of the washbasin has right angles, but the front segment of its bowl acts as a characteristic semicircle - an arc) and a rectangular shape with beveled corners(the corners of the body of such washbasins are made not at 90°, but in the form of curves). A separate line can highlight the barrel-shaped shape - such models have curved sides that form a rounded and smooth shape, like a classic barrel.

Washbasin installation

Invoice for the cabinet. Washbasins designed to be installed directly on the cabinet. Their key advantage is ease of installation, especially compared to hanging models. Note that the design features of such models somewhat limit the variety of shapes.

— Suspended. Washbasins designed for wall mounting. Such models take up minimal space, but are quite difficult to install, because... require installation of appropriate wall mounts.

Overlay on the tabletop. A type of overhead washbasin designed for installation on a countertop. In many ways they are similar to the overhead models on the cabinet (see above), but are even easier to install. In addition, such washbasins can have almost any shape.

Equipment

Additional items and equipment included in the delivery kit in addition to the box/console itself, or provided in its design.

Washbasin. The washbasin shell itself is the object for which a pedestal/console is initially bought. The presence of this item in the kit not only relieves the owner of additional hassle on search and purchase - the standard sink is also optimally main function installation on the «native» design. On the other hand, the appearance and functionality of the complete washbasin may not correspond to the wishes of the user, so sometimes it is better to buy a cabinet and sink separately.

Shelves. In this case, additional shelves, dividing the interior of the cabinet into several tiers. This is convenient for placing a large number of comparatively small items (and in the cabinets for the washbasins usually keep these).

Open shelf. The presence in the design of the product of one or more shelves without doors or drawers, providing free access to the internal space. An open shelf creates a feeling of spaciousness, makes it easy to organize contents, and you can get the necessary items out of it without opening doors or pulling out drawers.

Handles. Handles for opening doors and drawers. This may include both external and concealed handles; the latter have the form of distinc...tive notches on the ends of doors or boxes. However, such a notch is considered a handle only if it is supplemented by a metal insert.
In turn, the absence of handles in the set usually means that doors and boxes are equipped with either hollows without metal inserts, or the opening mechanism by pressing (push-to-open) or to open them directly behind the ends. Technically, another option is possible - handles need to buy separately; however, in practice, it is almost not found.

Closers. Devices that make the closing of doors/boxes somewhat automated and more user-friendly and safe for the construction itself. The main function of the closer - «to pull» partially open or closed door to the extreme position and to keep it in this position, not allowing to accidentally open or close - from the draught, uneven installation of the cabinet, etc. In addition, On the final stretch of movement, the device can brake the door (even if it is pulled with force), preventing too much impact at the extreme position.

— Legs. Feet for installation on the floor, used in models with appropriate installation capabilities (see above). Compared to the whole base, the legs are less demanding to the quality of the floor; therefore, if the even surface in the bathroom has not worked out, on the floor it is recommended to use pedestal cabinets. On the other hand, the legs are less reliable than the solid base, and are more likely to break.

— Laundry basket. Basket for storing dirty clothes before washing. As a rule, it is built into the box itself, and the design of such a device can be different. So, in some models the basket looks like a grille attached to the hinge door, in others this function performs one of the drawers, and so on. N. However, in any case, the closed design prevents the spread of odors from non-stiran clothing. The exact size of the basket may vary; most often it is relatively small, but even such a device will be useful for storing underwear, socks and other small items.

— Bracket. The part for fixing the product to the wall - usually in the form of a «corner», one side of which is attached to the wall, and the other protrudes horizontally. Such parts can be completed in the main console (cf. «Type»). Because wall cabinets usually use other methods of attachment.

Washbasin material

- Ceramics. The most common material for modern sinks. Today, ceramic washbasins are made from: porcelain and earthenware. Porcelain has good strength, but is difficult to manufacture, making it quite expensive and relatively rare. Earthenware is a little less durable, but at the same time it costs less and looks no worse, which is why it has become widespread.

- Sanitary porcelain. Sanitary porcelain is considered a fairly advanced material: it is not inclined to absorb dirt, which is why it has a longer service life. In addition, the strength and reliability of this material are also quite high. Its main drawback is its rather high cost.

- Fake diamond. Most often, this term refers to cast marble - a composite material based on marble or quartz chips filled with polyester resin and dyes. The main advantage of artificial stone is its strength: it is perhaps the most impact-resistant material used in modern sinks. Plus it looks very good and is easy to clean. However, such washbasins are quite expensive.

- Glass. Glass can be classified as a premium material: it looks elegant, at the same time very original, making it well suited to various interiors, incl. and non-standard. The main disadvantage of glass is its fragility: it is somewhat less resistant to damage than the materials described above and requires careful handling. This is especially true for heavy objects - they should never be dropped onto glass sinks.
