Set
The number of individual items in the package.
Items such as hi-fi cabinets and centre speaker stands (see Type) are by definition only sold individually. But traditional racks for acoustics can be supplied both one by one and in pairs ; the second option is convenient, given that paired speakers are very common in modern speakers (in addition to stereo systems, these are also front and rear satellites in 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound sets). For similar reasons, some models of Hi-Fi stands may also be sold in pairs.
Occasionally, more extensive equipment is also found — for example, concert sets of six racks.
