A breath of fresh air in the market of monotonous "pixels" with a black "band" on the rear panel. On this protruding strip, a trio of main camera lenses is lined up horizontally: consisting of a 50 MP leading image sensor with optical stabilization and laser autofocus, a 12 MP ultra-wide, and a 48 MP telephoto lens, providing 4x zoom. The front camera in the island hole of the mobile device's display captures at a resolution of 11.1 MP.
Overall, the Google Pixel 6 Pro 256GB screen is based on a high-resolution Quad HD+ OLED matrix (3120x1440 pixels). The display has rounded shapes on the sides, measures 6.71 inches diagonally, and the refresh rate reaches 120 Hz. Gorilla Glass Victus protective glass is installed on top of the screen. The smartphone's hardware platform is based on the top-tier Google Tensor chipset.
Additionally, under the "hood," the device houses a Titan M2 security chip responsible for storing PIN codes, passwords, and fingerprint scans. The model boasts 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM, a fast 256 GB UFS 3.1 storage, and support for e-SIM virtual cards. I bought it in 2023, in the summer. At that time, I paid 16k for it, used. And even now, I am sure that finding something better for that money would be difficult. Pixels are probably the best Android flagships on the market. It served me faithfully for almost 2 years and was then passed on to my father. The screen is still excellent, the system isn't as snappy as it was at the beginning, but it's still very fast, with nice little features from Google, like vibration when adjusting brightness, or other small quirks. The camera, of course, is losing to the latest flagships, but it's still very strong and definitely better than competitors for the same price. However, there were significant issues with connectivity. Often it would just drop in the middle of a call, or for no reason at all. In the last few months, I haven't noticed these problems anymore, but Google hasn't announced any fixes. And then there's the processor. Tensor G1 is the Exynos 2100, just with a profile and neural cores, meaning overheating, connectivity, throttling - this package will always be with you. In navigator mode in the car, the Pixel would go crazy and ask to be turned off because it was overheating so much. But if you're not a gamer and don't play with GPS + LTE + full brightness, you won't notice these problems. Display. 1440p, 120Hz, good brightness and colors. Cameras. Still competes confidently with modern sub-flagships or flagships from 2021-2022. Sound. Loud, clear sound, with sufficient bass. System. Pixel Experience - the best Android interface in my opinion. Chip. The Tensor G1 is hopelessly losing to competitors in almost every aspect, although the system runs smoothly without issues. Autonomy. Due to the chip's high power consumption, the battery life is not as good as expected for 5000 mAh, needing to charge twice a day consistently. Heating. It's not that it overheats with basic use, but if you spend time on Telegram at full brightness with LTE and GPS on, your hands will feel warm. In winter, this might actually be a plus. Connectivity. Well, there don't seem to be any issues now, but when there were, the desire to sell the phone was strong, despite all the love for it. Everything I expected from this phone - I got it. The design is recognizable and catches the eyes of people. The camera is excellent, my girlfriend has a 12 Pro, but now we take photos with my Pixel. The telephoto lens is fantastic, you can even check out the neighbors across the street. The only thing that was a bit annoying was the scanner, since I bought a matte screen protector and it recognized my finger 3-4 times out of 10, but I solved this issue by purchasing a special glass for Pixels for 230 UAH. - camera - screen - battery life - smooth performance - design - software features - scanner (if buying cheap glass or film) Aleksandr Sharov: use Google Pixel 6 Pro 128GB few months |
Excellent screen, very pleasant to look at. Curved edges do not interfere in any way. Beautiful appearance of the operating system. Settings, icons, sounds -- a pleasure. Slow charging The phone is enormous, even compared to other 6.7-inch phones. Very wide, hard to operate with one hand, constantly afraid of dropping it Charges slowly Very prone to smudging. The back panel constantly collects fingerprints and some dirt. Didn't experience this with other phones (used without a case) Very poor performance of the selfie camera module. It captures faces well, but everything else looks blurred and pixelated. Photos with others are of very poor quality, as if it's not a flagship at all (on the selfie module) Differences in color correction between the main module and telephoto modules (when you zoom during a video and the color changes drastically) You buy a flagship for such money, but you get a product for beta testers. This doesn't work, there's a bug here, something will be fixed later, and you're in a perpetual wait for updates. Why is this needed? |
