The first three generations of "Googlephones" created a real sensation in the genre of mobile photography. Their "one-eyed" cameras are still included in all sorts of ratings of the best. The fourth Pixel increased the number of sensors under the wing of the main photomodule to two. What did it give him in fact? Let's figure it out.
Photoflagman
The leading image sensor on board the smartphone still has a resolution of 12 MP and uses fast f / 1.7 optics with optical stabilization. An 8 MP telephoto camera with a double optical zoom function was kindly provided to help him. The main camera of the device demonstrates excellent results when shooting in night mode, handles with recording 4K video (at 30 fps) and takes excellent pictures during the day. Powerful hardware
In terms of performance, the smartphone gives a high “flying speed” of any running applications, be it a mobile video editor or, for example, a “gluttonous” Call of Duty Mobile toy. The key to the performance of the model is the powerful combination of the top-end Snapdragon 855 chipset, 6/128 GB of memory and Adreno 640 graphics. Separate praise is given to the OLED screen of the device with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, stretching diagonally by 5.7".

Surprisingly, the fourth-generation Googlephone got rid of the fingerprint sensor. It is proposed to unlock the smartphone by the face of the owner, for which a special scanner is placed in the ledge above the display. In the same place, Motion Sense system sensors peacefully coexist with it, allowing you to control the functions of a mobile device through gestures without touching the screen. From above, all this is “seasoned” with the “OS” of Android 10 without any add-ons. Only a frankly weak 2800 mAh battery let us down on the smartphone. Fortunately, support for fast and wireless charging (18 and 11 W, respectively) partly compensates for the modest battery capacity.
