Godox flashes are a functional and inexpensive alternative to "native" on-camera light for the lion's share of photographic systems. Take, for example, the V860II, which is available in versions for Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fuji, and Olympus (along with Panasonic).
Long battery life
Technically, the flash is the twin brother of the popular Godox TT685. The only difference is that there is no external power connector on its board, and it “feeds” on energy from a capacious Li-Ion battery (2000 mAh). On one battery charge, the flash fires about 650 volleys in full power mode. In total, the photographer has 8 main power levels from 1/1 to 1/128 with the ability to adjust for intermediate values of ±0.3 and ±0.7
Guide number 60
The power of the light pulse of the flash characterizes the guide number 60 — it is at this distance in metres that the light “finishes” at ISO 100 sensitivity and lens aperture f / 1. When zooming in the range of 20-200 mm, the flash adjusts automatically. The head of the Godox V860II rotates 180° to each side horizontally, tilts up 90° and drops down 7°, which opens up wide perspectives when working with reflected light.
Advanced functionality
The flash works “on the machine” (E-TTL), in M mode with manual setting of the pulse power and in Multi-mode (strobe with fine tuning of the power parameters of individual volleys). In the role of master or slave, the model uses a light trap and a built-in radio synchronizer to synchronize with other lighting devices(32 channels and 5 groups (A/B/C/D/E) are available with a range of up to 100 metres). The flash is attached to the hot shoe of the camera by means of a clamping disk, which sometimes wedges. There are no other claims to the model, which allows us to safely recommend it to avid photo enthusiasts as the main on-camera light.
