The composite body weighs 65g and is protected against dust and water ingress according to the IP68 standard (long-term immersion to a depth of 100m is allowed).
To display information, a 30 mm transflective MIP screen with a resolution of 240x240 and a detail of 283 ppi is used. The screen is protected by an ultra-hard and scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. The Garmin Fenix 5S Plus Sapphire smartwatch is equipped with an accelerometer, gyroscope, thermometer, optical heart rate sensor, barometer, altimeter, high-precision GPS/GLONASS module and can interact with ANT+ sensors.
A full-fledged navigation mode is supported using colour maps, steps are counted, speed and distance traveled are determined, various types of sports activity (running, swimming, cycling, etc.) are correctly evaluated, and calories burned are calculated. Sleep monitoring mode is provided. When using the bluetooth 4.0 LE wireless protocol, it is easy to synchronize with smartphones. Notifications for incoming calls, messages, calendar events and alarms are supported. The built-in battery is enough for a week of battery life in standby mode or for 25 hours of active work with a GPS module.
