Model overview based on user reviews
The Canon EOS 5D Mark III is a highly regarded digital SLR camera, praised for its full-frame high-sensitivity CMOS sensor and excellent image quality. Users appreciate its durable magnesium alloy body with moisture resistance, making it suitable for various shooting conditions. The camera features a new autofocus system that is generally well-received, although some users find it slower compared to competitors like Nikon and Sony. It offers high ISO performance with low noise levels, making it versatile for different lighting conditions. The camera supports HDR shooting and has a high-resolution 3.2-inch display. However, it lacks built-in image stabilization, which can be a drawback when using unstabilized lenses. The price is a point of contention, with some users feeling it should be lower. Despite this, the camera is considered a reliable choice for professionals, offering features like dual memory card slots and high-quality Full HD video recording. While some users prefer the color and dynamic range of Nikon or Sony cameras, the Canon EOS 5D Mark III remains a popular choice for its robust build and overall performance.

Great car, I recommend it to everyone when the price drops to a reasonable limit Nothing to add. |
I travel a lot and, basically, I'm what is now called a travel blogger. A camera in my travels is a tool for creating original content, so this camera came in very handy for me. Moisture-resistant body. Body material – magnesium alloy. Full-frame high-sensitivity CMOS sensor with an integrated dust removal system. Highest quality images. Good white balance and low noise levels even at high ISO. ISO values up to 6400 can be confidently used. Prepares for shooting very quickly. Autofocus works fast, precisely, and can be flexibly adjusted for shooting tasks. Shoots in any lighting except complete darkness. Even in full auto mode, the probability of achieving excellent results is about 98%. Continuous shooting at 6 frames/sec (or 3 frames/sec in silent mode). High-quality automated HDR shooting. Now, if desired, there is no more need to fuss with HDR on a PC, the camera does just as well. Good 3.2-inch high-resolution display. Two slots for memory cards with standards CF and SDHC/SDXC. Convenient controls and customizable custom buttons. Quality kit lens. There is no built-in optical stabilizer, so there may be problems when using unstabilized lenses "handheld". The autofocus is slow in LiveView mode. There is no continuous autofocus for video shooting. |
Yes, the shortcomings of the M2 have been improved, but tracking autofocus for video is not implemented, so there is no practical application for wedding video. New autofocus + photosensitive matrix - very good. The price extinguishes all the advantages of this device |

I used to love the 24-105, then I switched to the 24-70 and now I regret it. For almost a year now, I've been struggling with this issue. I'm seriously considering selling the 24-70 and buying the 24-105 back.
The 24-70 is noticeably heavier, I'm constantly missing the focal lengths, meaning it's not universal enough. Of course, the aperture is a plus, but the 24-105 has stabilization.
Absolutely incompetent post by Nobody. The 24-70 is a head above the 24-105 in almost all characteristics, except for weight. I consider the 280g weight difference non-critical since you have to pay for quality.
1) Lens aperture - this is clear. Night and day.
2) The build quality of the 24-105 is incomparably worse than that of the 24-70. I write this as a repair technician. In 5 years, I've only had the 24-70 in for repair once, and that was after a fall. The 24-105 constantly has issues with ribbon cables. There are other design flaws too.
3) An important nuance: photographing with the 24-70 without a stabilizer gives a better result than with the 24-105 with a stabilizer! Reasonable question: why is it even needed there? We'll leave that to the conscience of Canon developers.
4) The difference between 70 and 105 isn't all that critical. And if you're shooting with a 5D Mark III, you can easily crop the needed scene when printing or using Photoshop. Fortunately, there are plenty of pixels!
