The eldest son in the family

The Radeon RX 590 is the top graphics card in the RX 5xx line. It is based on a slightly updated processor of the previous generation Polaris 30, which is produced using a 12-nm process technology. Interestingly, being the most powerful model in the lineup, the base version of the RX 590 is essentially the competitor of the NVIDIA GXT 1060.

Blades the GTX 1060

But the version from Sapphire received a good factory overclocking of the core and memory, so on paper it aims to compete with the older GXT 1070. Looking ahead, let's say that there was no full-fledged competition, the GXT 1070 in most games gives FPS 20% higher. But it also costs 20-30% more. But the competition with the GXT 1060 for the model from Sapphire was a success: in popular games like The Witcher 3 and Far Cry 5, it outperforms the opponent by 10–18%. And this is in normal mode. When automatic boost is activated, the gap in some games reaches 25%. And the price is almost the same. However the power consumption is higher, so the power supply needs at least 500 watts.

Efficient cooling system with silent mode

As for everything else, the RX 590 NITRO + differs little from other Sapphire cards in this series: a casing with pseudo-perforation that can be easily removed, an unusual blue colour for gaming gadgets, a double 6 + 8 pin power connector in the corner, a BIOS switch for changing closer to the rear panel operating mode from standard quiet to noisier accelerated. The graphics card is made on a high-quality PCB and is equipped with powerful thoughtful cooling. A massive heatsink with two large fans maintains moderate GPU operating temperatures and cools the VRM well with low noise.
