A compact 2019 microATX motherboard with an AMD AM4 processor socket and the flagship AMD X570 chipset. It is positioned as a product of the upper part of the middle price category, designed to create small-sized overclocking and gaming systems. Fully compatible with Ryzen 2000/3000 4/6/8/12/16-core Picasso/Matisse/Pinnacle Ridge cores and Ryzen 4000 4/6/8-core Renoir APUs (to support Ryzen 4000 and later models) UEFI BIOS firmware update may be required).
Supports the high-speed PCI-E Gen 4.0 system interface, which doubles the data transfer speed with high-speed M.2 NVMe SSDs and significantly speeds up the loading of high-quality HD textures on new models of discrete gaming graphics cards. The ASRock X570M Pro4 motherboard is equipped with a 10-phase digital power subsystem with a developed aluminium heatsink, and its power is quite enough for moderate CPU overclocking (without a significant increase in the supply voltage). Supports installation of up to 128 GB of high-speed DDR4 RAM (4x32 GB), two high-speed M.2 SSD drives.
medium format
ASRock X570M Pro4 is one of the first mid-size mATX motherboards based on AMD X570 chipset. And part-time also one of the most affordable on the market. Moreover, neither the reduced size nor the reduced price practically affected the functionality. Supports Ryzen 3000 and 2000 series processors, four DDR4 memory modules up to 4200+ MHz, and even bundles of two AMD Crossfire video cards.
Stable power supply
The VRM power subsystem is made ten-phase: the lower knee of eight mosfets feeds the processor cores and is covered by a radiator, and the upper of the two is responsible for the memory controller and the integrated graphics accelerator, but is already deprived of cooling. This is perhaps the only drawback of ASRock X570M Pro4. The X570 chipset is actively cooled by a fan, while the first M.2 PCIe 4.0 SSD slot (up to 64 Gbps) is passively cooled by a heatsink. The second M.2 slot, also PCIe 4.0, is already without a heatsink, so it's better to put a slower SSD there — PCIe 3.0.
Fast internet, clear sound
The third M.2 slot of the ASRock X570M Pro4 is shortened with an E key and is designed to install a Wi-Fi adapter. However, you can also access the Internet using the Intel I211AT gigabit Ethernet controller soldered on the motherboard. 7.1-channel audio subsystem based on Realtek ALC1200 chip with ELNA audio capacitors. There are two video outputs for the built-in graphics accelerator, both digital — HDMI and Display Port.
USB is never too much
The rear interface panel of ASRock X570M Pro4 has eight USB ports: one high-speed 3.2 Gen2 (10 Gbps) Type-A and Type-C, and six more medium-speed 3.1 Gen1 (5 Gbps). Also implemented is a mechanism for synchronizing and configuring the RGB lighting of all PC components called ASRock Polychrome. For those who prefer full-sized ATX motherboards, we recommend ASRock X570 Steel Legend and X570 Taichi.
