Model overview based on user reviews
The Xiaomi Redmi 7 32 GB / 3 GB is a smartphone that offers a balanced mix of features suitable for everyday use. One of its standout features is the strong battery life, which can last up to two days with moderate usage, making it ideal for users who need a reliable device throughout the day. The phone also boasts good camera performance, especially in well-lit conditions, providing detailed and clear photos. It handles games well, thanks to its decent performance capabilities, ensuring a smooth user experience without lags. The design is attractive, with a beautiful back cover and a large screen, although some users find it slightly bulky. Fast charging is another advantage, allowing for quick power-ups. However, the phone lacks NFC, which may be a downside for those who prefer contactless payments. The screen has some issues with viewing angles and occasional freezing, but it remains large and convenient for media consumption. The fingerprint scanner can be inaccurate, yet some users find it fast and accurate. Video recording quality is not the best, lacking stabilization, but the photo camera still impresses. Overall, the Xiaomi Redmi 7 32 GB / 3 GB is a well-rounded smartphone with a few minor drawbacks, offering great value for those seeking a reliable and feature-rich device.

great model, love it

The phone can be called gaming. I recommend it for purchase. (This is not an advertisement, but almost everyone now has an Honor 8, however, the difference with this phone is that the Redmi 7 has a more powerful processor.)
I've been using the phone for a long time and I really like it. On the plus side, I would like to note the fast charging and powerful processor. In case anyone is interested, PUBG Mobile on medium settings runs without lags (2 GB RAM).
In the 2/16 version, there's a significant lack of built-in memory. Even if you reset the phone to factory settings, there remains only 4-5 GB of free space. And maybe it's just my situation that the phone was pre-configured from the store, but it was very laggy, yet resetting to factory settings helped a lot.

One of the best smartphones for its price

Great smart (one of the best, if not the best)
Beautiful
Very beautiful
Good dual camera
Large
Excellent screen
Teardrop design (I personally liked it)
Capacious battery
Handles any games well
The rear glass gets very dirty and scratches easily. Sometimes, with very active use, the battery doesn't last until the end of the day.

Good for your money
6 January 2022
I'll say right away, for its money, it's just top-notch. When playing demanding games at 60fps, the phone heats up a bit (noticed it after a year). The battery lasted half a day with active use, with passive use 1.5-2 days, but after 2 years I replaced the battery. The camera is so-so. All the pros and cons will be written below. Purchased on 10/24/2019.
The fingerprint and face scanner works excellently. I'd also like to note that when you purchase this device, you can control almost all the technology in your home.
After 3 years, the bottom part of the screen responds very poorly. The camera is bad, but what am I complaining about, it’s okay for the price. After a year, it heats up during demanding tasks. No NFC. The external speaker is awful.

Attractive price

The Redmi line from Xiaomi is aimed primarily at young people who are not ready to pay big money, but at the same time want to get modern chips from a smartphone like a dual camera or face unlock. This smartphone is the new Redmi 7.

Large IPS display

The entire front panel of the smartphone is occupied by a display with a diagonal of 6.26". The screen resolution is 1520x720 pixels, which is not so much with such a diagonal. If you switch to Redmi 7 after a device with FullHD resolution, then the display will definitely seem grainy. If the eyes are not spoiled, then the picture looks quite normal and does not cause discomfort. The brightness margin of the screen is decent, everything is readable in the sun. Plus, there are traditional MIUI screen settings: a separate reading mode, changing colours, zooming and waking up with a double tap.

Nice backdrop with gradient coloring

The body of the smartphone is plastic, but due to the gradient iridescent back cover and teardrop-shaped cutout, the smartphone is definitely not boring. However, glossy plastic quickly gets dirty, and random scratches are clearly visible. If you do not want to risk the back cover, use the silicone case that comes with the kit.

Dual camera

Redmi 7 has a 12 MP dual main camera. The design is reminiscent of Huawei P Smart, when the modules hang over each other, and the camera itself is placed in the upper left corner. It is important to keep in mind that this is a low-cost solution, so do not expect miracles from the camera. In the daytime, with good lighting, the frames turn out to be quite good, in artificial lighting, too, more or less (if you do not zoom in too close). At night, the situation is expectedly sad. The front camera has a so-called “beautifier”, which slightly photoshops and equalizes the selfie.

Separate slot for SIM-cards and memory cards

The manufacturer also pleased potential buyers with a separate slot for a memory card and two SIM cards, an audio output for headphones, a fingerprint scanner and a durable 4000 mAh battery with a power saving function. But the use of outdated microUSB was a little upsetting, but USB-C is still a rare guest in the low-cost segment.

Considering the price of $120, Redmi actually has one competitor – apart from the new Samsung Galaxy A10, there is not much to remember. Well, Chinese smartphones from less popular brands with a dubious reputation.
