The representative of the top Realme GT series, which replaced the X series. The smartphone received a large selection of different colours, but the most prominent among them is a “suitcase” grey colour with large stripes, designed by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. The device itself turned out to be quite light and oversized: its dimensions are 159.2x73.5x8 mm, weight — 174 g. The front panel is occupied by a Samsung Super AMOLED display with a diagonal of 6.43" with a resolution of 2400x1080 and an image refresh rate of 120 Hz. The 32-megapixel selfie camera has a small round notch in the display. On the back panel, in addition to the logo, there is only a rectangular block of the main camera, consisting of three modules and a flash. It has a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens wi...th a 119-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro lens. The Realme GT Master Edition is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, which provides fifth-generation networking. In addition to 5G support, there is Wi-Fi 6, an NFC, an under-screen fingerprint scanner, and even a 3.5mm audio jack, which has become a vanishing sight these days. However, there are no stereo speakers or a memory card slot, unfortunately. But the undeniable plus is the 4300 mAh battery with support for 65 W fast charging, which requires only 33 minutes for a full 100% battery.

Realme GT 5G at minimum

In 2021, Realme released a new top series of GT smartphones, and its first representative was Realme GT 5G, one of the cheapest flagships with a Snapdragon 888 processor. Realme GT Master Edition has become a simplified version of it, retaining many features, but with a lower processor, which had a positive effect on the price tag. As a result, the model has become a worthy contender for the title of "TOP for your money." Judge for yourself. Firstly, it uses the same 6.43-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels, HDR10 + support and an image refresh rate increased to 120 Hz. Secondly, the 4300 mAh battery supports the same 65 W fast charging, and this is already a serious blow to the stomach of competitors. This charge can fully charge the battery in just 33 minutes.

Thirdly, the model has exactly the same camera as the Realme GT 5G, and if it looked modest on the flagship, then such a set is more appropriate here. It includes a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and an additional 2MP macro lens. This is not a top camera, but a very decent one: in good light, you get juicy, detailed pictures with the right colour reproduction, although at night the quality is a little “lame”. The front camera has even been improved — its resolution is 32 MP.

Not Snapdragon 888, but still

The smartphone received a Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G processor, and although this is not the flagship Snapdragon 888, the chip does not suffer from a lack of performance. Its capabilities are enough to quickly launch applications, smooth operation of the interface, and even demanding games like Call of Duty Mobile. However at maximum settings, the case still heats up, but not critically. The device also supports 5G networks, is equipped with a fingerprint scanner built into the display, NFC and a 3.5 mm jack for fans of wired headphones. Unfortunately, there are no stereo speakers and a memory card slot.

Handsome

It is also impossible not to pay attention to the appearance of the model. Particularly stands out is the special edition created by Japanese designer Naoto Fukasawa. Inspired by travel, he created a suitcase finish in vegan leather with wide stripes that sets the smartphone apart from the competition. No wonder he managed to get the prestigious iF Design Award 2021. In general, the device fits comfortably in the hand, does not slip and is not too weighty. The kit includes a protective film and a nice case, not transparent silicone, but matte, with a soft-touch coating that is pleasant to the touch.
