A distinctive feature of the “iron” nature of the smartphone is the use of the Snapdragon 870 chipset instead of the “draconian” processor numbered “888”. The hardware platform of the device easily pulls resource-intensive games and heavy applications, and the liquid cooling system allows the smartphone to always remain in a “cold mind”. In the top configuration with 256 GB of non-expandable internal memory, the model has acquired 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The OnePlus 9R 256GB/12GB has a 6.55-inch screen. The basis of the display is a juicy Fluid AMOLED matrix with an increased refresh rate of 120 Hz and support for HDR10+. Hardware-wise, the phone is good, Android 11 is convenient, but the custom shell is lacking.

Bought it a week ago, and the first impression was, of course, excellent. At home, I started setting it up and gradually noticed that some settings and functions were missing that were available on my old Huawei running Android 9. Reviews praised its flexibility and functionality, but I did not find that. Maybe it depends on which OS you're using; I have Oxygen. The camera, again, reviews mentioned it's not flagship-level, but very decent. In reality, it shoots like a Xiaomi for 20k, but with stabilization. In 48 MP mode, you can't zoom or switch to wide mode, and shooting at 48MP takes noticeable time (a couple of seconds, but with a top-tier processor, you'd expect faster), narrow viewing angles of the main camera. Fast charging only works with the included cable. You can't set vibration separately (navigation buttons, home screen, unlock), you can only turn everything on or off at once. There are a few more minor setting issues, but I won't list them all, they're small, but love for a smartphone is built on such details. Overall, I was only disappointed with the somewhat bare interface and the camera.

I liked the phone, I'm as happy as a clam.

- After my budget Meizu m2 mini bought about 6 years ago, the phone had a "wow effect" on me.
- After several days of use, only positive emotions, but there is nothing to compare it to.
- For the first time, I used a mobile browser, and it "flew" instead of getting bogged down in its own helplessness.
- Warp charge is a separate point because its presence almost allows you to forget about the need for charging. Charging the phone for 30 minutes once a day instead of keeping it plugged in all night when you don't need it was a surprise for me. I expected more significant heating during charging.
- After the cheap Meizu with mono, this stereo sound is just bombastic. Even abstracting from past experience, the sound is still amazing. It's enjoyable to watch videos, movies, and listen to music.
- Special mention for delivery: the phone was delivered via Pickpoint to a parcel locker, delivered in about a week, a couple of days longer than the minimum period. A text message was only sent to my phone, although I also expected an email. Apparently, the store (Fotosklad) didn't forward it.
- Excellent screen, 120 Hz
- Good stereo sound.
- Comes with Oxygen OS, makes a nice impression.
- Quite powerful SoC, relatively energy-efficient, especially compared to its big brother Snapdragon 888.
- Small features, such as a toggle switch above the power button for switching sound and vibration.
- Fast fingerprint scanner, also positioned quite high and conveniently. Only the scanners on the power button at Xiaomi are faster, which I haven't had the chance to use.
- The camera is excellent and even excessive for my needs.
Thin bezels.
- Fast charging at 65 watts.
- Flagship-level vibration, pleasantly surprised when I typed the first keys on the keyboard.
- A case is included in the package.
- Unusual button layout for volume control for me.
- Lousy included case.
- Difficult/expensive to buy the desired version in the desired color, the 256/12/ Carbon black version cost 45k rubles, while the same phone can be bought for ~31k.

For its price, it's an excellent option

Great device, got one for myself and my girlfriend (black and green) - the body materials are impressive, but without a case, it's very slippery... The sound is excellent, the cameras are good, the only downside is the front camera is average, the screen is divine... The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the update to Android 12; compared to 11, there are too many changes, although I've gotten used to it... For the price, this device is a blast! Xiaomi and the like can't compare...
