An image mirrorless camera in an elegant retro outfit to match the obsolete Olympus film cameras. The all-metal body of the camera hides a 20-megapixel Micro 4/3 format matrix without a low-pass filter in the bowels. The image sensor is mounted on a movable stabilizing platform designed to compensate for camera vibrations along 5 axes. All photographic affairs are run by a powerful seventh generation True Picture image processor.

In particular, the Olympus PEN-F kit 17 supports burst shooting at up to 10 fps. The video is recorded on the camera in the maximum resolution of FullHD (1920x1080 pixels) with a frame rate of 60 fps and a bit rate of 77 Mbps. The focus system on board the model is contrasting, it includes 81 focus sensors. Among other things, the mirrorless got a 3-inch touch screen with the ability to rotate in a vertical plane and an OLED viewfinder with a resolution of 2.36 million dots. On a single battery charge, the camera is capable of taking about 330 shots (according to CIPA standards). Out of the box, the camera comes with a 17mm f/1.8 prime lens.
