A vision of Nikon's full-frame mirrorless in the first edition. The dust- and moisture-proof magnesium alloy body of the camera hides a 24.5 MP image sensor with a built-in 5-axis matrix stabilization system. The standard sensitivity range of the sensor ranges from 100 to 51200 ISO, and it can be extended by software to ISO 50-204800. A powerful EXPEED 5A image processor is installed "at the control panel" of the camera's command post. Its forces ensure the speed of sequential shooting of highly dynamic scenes up to 12 fps. The Nikon Z6 hybrid focus system has 273 focus points. In addition, the mirrorless is equipped with a touch screen on a swivel joint and a high-resolution electronic viewfinder (3.69 million pixels). Video clips are recorded by the camera in resolution up to 4K...(3840x2160 pixels, 30 fps). The model is "friendly" with XQD format memory cards, for the installation of which only one slot is involved. In this configuration, the mirrorless camera is offered in conjunction with the Nikon Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/4 S universal zoom lens.

Video reviews

Japanese company Nikon's long-awaited debut in the full-frame mirrorless arena came in 2018. Then two full-frames were released at once — the top-end Nikon Z7 and a model with a lower rank than Z6. We'll talk about her.

Matrix stabilization

The camera is "built" on a magnesium alloy chassis in a dust- and moisture-proof design. The heart of the Nikon Z6 is a 24.5 MP image sensor with 5-axis image stabilization. The matrix stub is guarded by the clarity of photos and the smoothness of the video sequence, since the video is shot on the camera in 4K format at a speed of 30 fps. Information is read from the entire area of the image sensor (i.e. without cropping the image). It is recorded on rare XQD memory cards.

Performance

For the speed of the camera and the high rate of fire in the reportage genre of photography, the Expeed 5A image processor is responsible. It's no joke, in the burst mode, the model develops a pace of 12 fps. And if you plan to get 14-bit RAW files at the output — 9 fps. Hybrid autofocus in the on-board equipment of the camera has 273 focus points, dispersed across the entire field of the frame.

Developed ergonomics

The mirrorless has a protrusion in the area of the battery pack for a better grip in the hand. Also , the high-resolution OLED viewfinder, a touch-sensitive rotary display on the rear panel and an auxiliary information screen on the upper end give it ease of handling. The icing on the cake is support for remote control of the filming process from a smartphone “over the air”. However, this does not surprise anyone. The series has yet to unfold in all its glory, but for now it is being pursued by children's sores in the manner of a modest fleet of compatible optics for the Nikon Z mount. The camera itself was a success and there are no special complaints from photo enthusiasts.
