A very advanced SLR camera, quite capable of qualifying for the professional segment. Carries on board a full frame matrix with a resolution of 12.9 megapixels and a sensitivity of up to 6400 ISO; at the same time, the Expeed processor is capable of providing continuous shooting up to 5 fps in normal mode and up to 8 fps with a battery pack. The autofocus sensor works with 51 focus points. Shooting formats are JPEG, RAW and TIFF, but video shooting is not provided (at least in the standard firmware). Design feature — work with CompactFlash memory cards.

Compatible Lenses:
- AF Nikkor DX type lenses: All functions supported.
