The manufacturer is positioning it as an upper-mid-price video card, which is perfect for creating gaming systems that offer comfortable gameplay in games at 1080p and 1440p resolutions.

The card has a standard PCB length and uses an advanced Twin Frozr dual-fan cooling system with Torx Fan 5.0 fans. The cooling system has a low noise level and can switch to a completely silent passive operating mode. The MSI GeForce RTX 4060 GAMING X NV EDITION 8G graphics card is based on the AD 107 graphics processor based on the progressive NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, made using an updated 5nm process technology.

The power consumption declared by the manufacturer is a very modest 115 W, which is, for example, less than the conventional 150 W consumed by popular mid-class video accelerators of past years like the Radeon RX 570 or GeForce 1060.
