New generation low-cost
Pentium Gold G5600 is an updated low-cost chip from the eighth generation of Intel processors. Its main feature is support for multi-threaded Hyper-Threading technology, which virtually doubles the number of cores. Compared to the previous line, the G5600 looks like an easy fix — the clock speed has increased to 3.9 GHz, the integrated graphics have been slightly upgraded, and the maximum supported memory frequency is now 2400 MHz.
Good gaming experience
In terms of power, the G5600 provides mediocre performance. The built-in UHD Graphics 630 video chip, on the one hand, allows you to do without a full-fledged graphics card, on the other hand, toys like CS:GO and Dota 2 will start only at minimum settings. But if you combine its forces with a graphics card of the GeForce GTX 1050 level, then this chip will be able to handle any hits of 2018. However the FPS level will rest on the graphics settings and optimization of the system itself.
Low heat generation
So why is the new line good and is it worth paying extra? It is and is in the updated LGA 1151 socket, which expands the scope for a possible system upgrade in the future. The choice of processors for the second version of LGA 1151 will be more interesting. It is also worth noting the low heating of the processor — the simplest cooler will cope with heat dissipation at the level of 54 W.
