The display of the iPhone X occupies almost the entire area of the front panel of the case, but its upper part has a cutout for a selfie camera, a speaker and a set of various sensors. The company itself proudly calls the Super Retina screen — you can’t imagine a more appropriate name for an OLED panel with a resolution of 2436x1125 pixels and support for HDR 10 / Dolby Vision.
Face recognition
Due to the lack of frames on the front panel, the Home button with a fingerprint sensor built into it had to be sacrificed. Instead, users are invited to use an even more progressive way to protect personal data — unlocking a mobile gadget is carried out using the Face ID facial recognition system. It automatically adapts to face changes (a different hairstyle, headdress and other accessories do not interfere with scanning sensors) and is able to distinguish a living person from a photograph. The remaining functions of the Home key have been replaced by a system of gestures and swipes across the screen.
