I bought this router when I was getting an internet connection. I specifically wanted the Archer series because they are constantly improving their products, and it performs its functions perfectly. My parents also have an Archer, but a different model. They bought it back in 2020, so I chose the same brand for my house. My home is about 110 square meters. This router is placed in the hallway right when you enter the house, and the Wi-Fi covers the whole house without any additional boosters. The signal might not be 100% in the farthest rooms, but there's Wi-Fi everywhere, and that's just awesome!!! I liked that it covers the whole house with Wi-Fi without additional boosters, the connection quality is excellent, the speed is high. It fully meets all needs. Compared to my parents' Archer, which is five years older, this one is relatively lighter. There is no router power button. To turn it on or off, you need to unplug it. |
Depending on your layout, a decent solution, especially if it's about wired connection. For WiFi, you'll need something more powerful. Compact, simple, no frills. Easy setup. By the way, there are updates, but I don't know why (I didn't update). There were no freezes or wifi failures. wi-Fi really doesn't have a very long range. About 10 meters, a couple of walls in the apartment - and the speed drops from gigabit to 30 Mbps. And here the Wi-Fi can't handle gigabit. |
The router was purchased as a backup in case the old ARCHER C6 of the same company failed, and after connecting the backup provider in the apartment, it was put into operation as a second link. Although this router is considered more budget-friendly, it works just as well, almost without issues. Occasionally, the connection with the smartphone drops for half a second to a second when the screen is locked, which generally goes unnoticed. Looks more attractive than the previous model, collects less dust. Also, compared to the C6, the device's startup time has significantly decreased, about 2 times. Sometimes the phone disconnects from the network, maybe it will be fixed, but it's not such a serious problem that you want to figure out the solution. |
