One of the older models in the SeaSonic Prime Platinum family of top-end power supplies, which includes high-efficiency power supplies ranging from 550 to 1300 W. It features a high power rating of 1000W, outstanding 80 Plus Platinum energy efficiency (92% efficiency) and a practical modular cable subsystem layout. It can operate normally in an AC network from 100 to 240 V, which makes it insensitive to drawdowns and voltage fluctuations in east european power systems.
It is positioned as a product of the upper price category in 2017, designed to power overclocking and high-performance gaming systems with multiGPU configurations based on demanding top-end video cards. It can be an excellent choice for powerful workstations with Nvidia Tesla and AMD Radeon Instinct accelerators. It will help in overclocking experiments with an extreme increase in the supply voltage of the CPU and GPU Power Limit.
The basis of the Sea Sonic Prime Platinum SSR-1000PD power supply is a high-tech hardware platform with a resonant LLC converter and DC-DC converters. Original circuit solutions and high-quality element base provide exceptionally high output voltage stability and allow you to deliver up to 99.6% of the rated power through the +12 V channel. The cooling system can operate in hybrid mode, in which the fan does not rotate at loads less than 400 W.
