Digital ultrazoom with an impressive optical zoom of 83.3x and f / 2.8 — f / 6.5 aperture. The matrix (16.7 MP, 1/2.3") of the Nikon Coolpix P900 digital camera offers a sensitivity in the range from 100 to 6400 (up to 12800 in b/w mode), and the Expeed C2 processor allows continuous shooting at a speed of 7 fps and record video in Full HD (60 fps). The device uses Dual Detect VR optical stabilization — an important feature given the capabilities of optics and low aperture at high magnification values. The camera received a 3" rotary display, an electronic viewfinder with 100% frame coverage. It is also worth noting the wireless modules Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC for connecting to external gadgets and GPS for geotagging.

The Nikon Coolpix P900 has earned the nickname "monster" because it has an 83x optical zoom and zoom ratio that is unrivaled by other cameras.
Megazoom
The camera lens provides operation in the range of focal lengths of 24-2000 mm (35 mm equivalent). At the long end, you can capture in the frame those objects that are completely invisible to the naked eye, because they are at a distance of several kilometers from the shooting site. But if this is not enough for you, the ultrazoom also has a digital zoom (Dynamic Fine Zoom function), which allows you to increase the maximum focal length to an unrealistic 4000 mm.
Stabilization
Working at such long focal lengths requires remarkable strength of hands — the slightest movement threatens to spoil the frame. Fortunately , an effective stabilizer has sheltered on board the camera, which allows you to compensate for up to 5 exposure steps. Nevertheless, it is worth remembering that the shutter speed is directly dependent on the focal length. And since the long end does not shine with high aperture, high-quality shots at the maximum approximation can only be made on a bright sunny day.
Ergonomics
Despite the impressive weight (about 900 g) and rather large dimensions, the camera fits comfortably in your hand. Its body is made of high quality plastic with rubberized inserts. Ergonomics is also on top — all controls are in their proper places. You can look at the subject of shooting either with the help of the viewfinder or on the rotary screen. The latter, unfortunately, is non-touch.
filming
Perhaps the main drawback of the camera is that it does not support shooting in RAW format. This significantly limits the possibilities in post-processing images. Also, the camera cannot boast of a large memory buffer — the claimed burst speed of 7 fps is not worked out due to its rapid flooding. In contrast to the above , the ultrazoom shoots high-quality FullHD video with stereo sound, in which the stabilization system shows itself perfectly.
Orientation
One ultrazoom from Nikon replaces a whole suitcase of lenses. It can be safely recommended to lovers of shooting birds and wild animals, paparazzi and just to all those who need an exclusive universal solution.
