The LG UltraGear 34GK950F is the flagship 34-inch curved gaming monitor, which, however, is great for other tasks: watching movies, video editing, streaming on Twitch or YouTube (a narrow chat window will fit on the side). It stands out for its ultra-wide format, that is, the cinematic aspect ratio of 21:9 (this is how films are now made and then shown in cinemas) and 3K resolution (3440x1440 pixels, image density 86 PPI).

Breaking records

The Nano IPS liquid crystal matrix used in the UltraGear 34GK950F made it possible to achieve several record highs at once. First, the DCI-P3 colour gamut is as much as 98%, which is a third more than a typical sRGB 100%. Simply put, this monitor is great for professional photography and video editing, including thanks to the ultra-wide aspect ratio (fits a long video editor timeline).

Brighter and more contrast

Secondly, the Nano IPS matrix made it possible to implement a brightness of 400 cd / m² and DisplayHDR400 technology, which in games and films that support this technology displays a more saturated picture without overexposed or vice versa dark areas. Finally, thirdly, with a typical GtG response time of 5 ms for IPS matrices, thanks to Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) technology, the delay is software reduced to only 1 ms.

Care for gamers

But still, games remain the main area of application for the LG UltraGear 34GK950F. For complete comfort, they implement a number of technologies: FreeSync 2 frame synchronization (144 FPS equals 144 Hz), minimizing DAS input lag, black stabilizer and a virtual optical sight. There are ready-made settings profiles for games of popular FPS and RTS genres. An adjustable leg in all directions and a built-in USB hub are included.
