Restrained on the outside and "charged" inside — a simple but capacious characteristic that gives out almost all the ins and outs of this gaming "handsome" in one sitting. The monitor is "built" on the basis of a fast WQHD IPS-matrix with a diagonal dimension of 27". In a more accessible language, the minimum response time of the Acer Nitro VG271UPbmiipx panel has come close to 1 ms (using VRB technology), and the image is displayed on the monitor screen at a maximum resolution of 2560x1440 pixels.
Other application characteristics of the model: adaptive vertical frequency in the range of 48-144 Hz (due to the use of screen frame rate synchronization technology and AMD FreeSync video source), a brightness ceiling of 350 cd / m² and, importantly, 100% coverage of the triangle » sRGB spaces for natural colour reproduction. The set of connection interfaces in the assets of the model is represented by digital connectors DisplayPort and HDMI (one copy of each). Together with them, the monitor got hold of two stereo speakers with a total sound power of 4 watts. The “net” weight of the device is 4.87 kg, another 400 “with a tail” grams are added to the total mass by a removable supporting “leg”.
IPS panel with 144Hz refresh rate
Gaming monitors with Full HD and high refresh rates are still the most popular solution among gamers. Until recently, all such displays were equipped exclusively with TN + Film matrices, which have significant drawbacks in terms of colour stability and picture quality in general. Until, finally, in 2019, demanding gamers waited for affordable gaming IPS models with Full HD resolution and high refresh rates. One of the first such swallows was the 27-inch Acer Nitro VG271UPbmiipx.
For gaming and graphics
The monitor refers purely to gaming solutions, as indicated by the prefix Nitro in its name and a number of key characteristics: a matrix response speed of 5 ms, a screen refresh rate of 144 Hz and support for AMD FreeSync technology. At the same time, the monitor is equipped with an IPS-matrix with 99% coverage of the sRGB colour space, which means it boasts high colour accuracy. In addition to this, support for several purely gaming chips like Visual Response is announced to give the picture additional smoothness and Black Boost, which automatically highlights especially dark scenes.
Modern design and thoughtful ergonomics
It is also worth writing down the modern design and thoughtful ergonomics as pluses: thin frames look modern, the stand allows you to adjust the angle of inclination, and a set of competent colour profiles allows you not even to go into the display settings menu. All in all, the new Acer Nitro monitor gives us a rare combination of natural colour reproduction, fast response speed and 2K resolution, making it a favorite not only for gamers, but also for people working with multimedia content. Last but not least, it doesn't have any flaws that can spoil the impression during a gaming session or a working Monday. Built-in speakers here are not very high quality, but many do not need them. And the stand allows you to adjust only the angle of the monitor (for a price of $ 450, you would like to twist it as you like), but the VESA mount gives room for manoeuvre.
