15x optical zoom. Image stabilization system. Shooting 4K video. Post focus function. Electronic viewfinder.

Ultrasonic camera for a wide range of photographic tasks. The model is armed with a 15x zoom lens that covers a range of equivalent focal lengths of 24-360mm. The maximum aperture of standard optics is tied to the focal length and varies from f / 3.3 at the short end to f / 6.4 at the telephoto end of the lens. The inch matrix on board the Panasonic DC-ZS200 has a resolution of 20 MP.

The processing of images received from the sensor is occupied by the Venus Engine processor, which is also responsible for the high rate of fire (up to 10 fps) and the confident operation of the camera at high ISOs. By the way, the standard matrix light sensitivity range of 100-12800 ISO can be extended by the user to the limits of 80-25600 units. The focus system in the arsenal of the model is built on the basis of 49 points of a contrasting type.

Sighting in the process of shooting is supposed to be on a fixed 3-inch display or through a high-definition electronic viewfinder with 100% coverage of the field of the future frame. Ultrazoom video capabilities include support for recording videos in 4K format. However the user does not have access to 5-axis stabilization, which compensates for hand shake in all other camera modes.

Video reviews

Along with a wide range of mirrorless cameras, Panasonic's stock includes a range of non-replaceable 'pocket' format charged cameras. One of these is the DC-ZS200, also known as the TZ200.

Universal set of EGF

The compact camera is designed to solve a wide range of tasks: from shooting architectural objects at the short end to “hunting” shy animals at the zoom telephoto position. All thanks to the 15x optical zoom of standard optics — translated into the equivalent of a full frame, the built-in camera lens shoots at focal lengths from 24 to 360 mm. And this, by the way, is a hundred and a half millimetres more than its predecessor in the face of the Panasonic DMC-TZ100.

Effective stabilization

Along with the increase in the zoom ratio, the optics of the camera has become more “darker” — henceforth its aperture ratio is f / 3.3-6.4. Fortunately , the camera was “brought up” with a 5-axis image stabilization system, which helps out when shooting handheld and in low light conditions. The stub does not work only in the 4K video recording mode (it is conducted with a frame rate up to 30 fps). Continuous photography is given to the model at a speed of up to 10 fps with focus on the first frame and at a rate of 6 fps with tracking autofocus.

Delicious "chips"

The native sensitivity range of the inch camera image sensor is measured in the range from 100 to 12800 ISO units. It is software expandable to ISO 80-25600. Also from the tidbit Panasonic DC-ZS200 is notable for the ability to select the focus point on the finished image (post-focus function), put marks on the video with active events (Auto Marking), the option to extract photographs from the video sequence in 8 MP resolution (4K photo function).

Pocket Companion

To compose a shot , the camera user is prompted to put his eye on the window of a miniature electronic viewfinder or look both at a fixed 3-inch diagonal screen. The camera display supports touch control. Finally, by the standards of digital compacts, the model keeps afloat quite well — its “passport” contains the ability to shoot about 370 frames on a single battery charge. In fact, more can be squeezed out of the camera. It makes a great travel companion and fits easily into your pocket for everyday use.
