Compact ultrasonic camera with 30x optical zoom. The non-replaceable optics of the camera covers a range of equivalent focal lengths from 24 to 720 mm. The maximum aperture at the same time changes from f / 3.3 at the short end to f / 6.4 at the telephoto zoom position. The relatively low aperture of the lens is partly compensated by the Power O.I.S. optical image stabilization system, which helps to win a couple of stops of shutter speed or exposure when shooting handheld and in low light conditions.

The model is equipped with a 20-megapixel matrix with a physical size of 1 / 2.3 ". Also, the Panasonic DC-TZ90 uses the proprietary Depth From Defocus autofocus system with post focus functions (Post Focus) and combining several frames into one in order to obtain a greater depth of field (Focus Stacking). The digital camera can take pictures in RAW format, shoot 4K video at a frame rate of 30 fps, and via Wi-Fi, the shooting process can be controlled remotely from a paired smartphone.In addition, the camera is equipped with an electronic viewfinder with a screen size of 0.2 inches and a touch screen 3 inches diagonally. The model is assembled in a light and compact case with dimensions of 112x67x41 mm and a weight of about 322 g.
