Chinese vs Global Smartphone Versions: What’s the Difference? We'll explore the dangers of skimping on a Chinese smartphone and whether it makes sense.

Why do smartphones start to slow down and what amount of RAM is now considered optimal?Let's explore the reasons for the slowdown and the optimal amount of RAM for smartphones
I've been using the OnePlus Nord 4 Black 16/512 for almost half a year. Overall, I'm satisfied with the smartphone. I was choosing between it and the Xiaomi 14T/Pro; it was cheaper and also runs on a Snapdragon processor, so I chose it. Another significant factor in my decision was the length of software support, as the manufacturer promises long-term support, especially regarding security. I just don't like replacing smartphones often. - Processor Snapdragon 7 Plus Gen 3 - Fast charging at 100W in 34 minutes (charger purchased separately for times when I need to quickly charge the smartphone, rarely use) - Fast charging 55W with PD PPS protocol (buy a charger and power bank with this protocol and you'll have no worries, mostly use 55W for charging) - Good screen with adjustable resolution (two options) - NFC support - Loudspeaker - Promised long software support - Persistent memory UFS 4.0, Nord 5 model has UFS 3.1 - Sometimes during short (5-8 min) video recording, it gets noticeably warm, but not always. - Occasionally (rarely) the locked screen does not wake up immediately with a double tap, but it wakes up instantly with the physical power button. - You need to buy the original charging block separately in the global version. |
A good phone with pleasant ergonomics and no pronounced angles, although I can recall that the screen is not a waterfall type. Despite the aluminum back, it still gets smudged and without a case, it’s always dirty. From personal observation, I noticed that during charging, it's better to leave the phone alone, because only without any load, it charges in half an hour and doesn't overheat. -Fantastic battery life. -Fast charging. -After a year and a half of very active use, the battery condition has only decreased by 4%. -Heats up during video calls and prolonged video recording. -The cameras are somewhat weak, but at the same time, the AI does its job very well. |
